On the Sweeper's side of the US manual, an image shows that Benito less than 4' tall. If we took that as fact, Blinx would be just above 3'!

But then we compare Princess Lena to Blinx in the first game and things get more confusing.

Oh, you should see some of the measurements in the concept art.  It's kind of weird, the sense of scale they have.  Not to mention that the distance counter in-game (for example, your distance from the highest point of Fate's Plaza in Round 2 as the sweepers, visible on the pause screen) seems to think that a metre is a really long way, at least compared to the cats' size.  Maybe everybody's really small and we just never knew.  That'd be kind of amusing, given that they're cats and pigs, but as you said, it falls apart when you compare them to the humans.  Ugh.

My time sweeper 'Kit' and tom tom 'Samson' are quite tall in-game.

Kit (75 body height, 55 leg height) is a chunk taller that all of the time sweepers you can speak to in the Time Factory but in looks fine next to her teammates, same height as Ian. Except Christopher, he's a giant. That's assuming that the cats in the factory are around the standard height (even though they are somewhat randomised) and my teammates are freakishly tall.

I compared Kit to the green Spikers in the Half-and-Half World and Kit is only a bit taller than them. I assume that standard time sweepers are shorter than the Spikers. Here's where I get a bit mathematical (my teacher would be proud): The yellow rolling duck (what's it's actual name?) is 1 m when curled into a ball, so it taller than 1 m when standing, say 1.2 m. The duck is one of the monsters close to the size of the Spiker, if not smaller with a measurement I can use. So the spiker is 1-1.2 m, more or less. I'm guessing Kit is about 1.2-1.3 m, if she is taller than the duck. I've made a lot of assumptions but they seem to correlate with the height chart of the Tom Toms in the manual and Blinx, having the standard height, being only 1 m tall (about 3').

So perhaps the idea that everyone is very short isn't so strange using the concept art measurements.

Samson (65 body height, 70 leg length) is taller than most of the tom toms in the base but surprisingly equals the height of the rest. He's the shortest on the team though. Still assuming everyone on my team is freakishly tall. It make the features of the Tom Tom base, railings, the entrance doors and roller doors odd looking. The post of the railings is taller than Samson and much taller than some tom toms in the base. The entrance doors was way bigger than Samson, almost double his height. I wish I had some sufficient visual to show you.

Not going to explain heights when compared to humans though. Fuck that shit.

While comparing heights in game, I realised my Tom Tom teammate Mirco (S rank) is very similar to the the Tom Tom on the US cover, whom I earlier proposed as a potential Bombay. The differences is that his facial hair is darker, the tattoo on his right arm is smaller and he's bulkier compared to the concept art but the similarity is pretty close. So maybe it's Mirco who's on the cover and not Bombay.

The concept art has the enemy's name written as "Pītama," which doesn't have much ring to it.

I've also found myself making most of my sweepers abnormally tall, actually.  The proportions just look a lot better that way, I think.  Everything sounds about right with them being about 1 m, though.  Guess we'll just work on another sense of scale, as weird as that is (they could've done better - at least Panzer Dragoon had the decency to use its own units... except their unit of length is also exactly equivalent to the length of one metre, coincidentally (which has to be inferred, but is definitely true), but the point still stands).

I don't recall how the height of my Tom Toms compared to the others, but I do know that I've always thought of most of the Tom Toms in the base as being rather oddly short, including the one who keeps you from entering worlds you're not ready for.  Never took a look at the scale of stuff in the base aside from the doors, though.  Now I want to compare the size of the doors to Benito and Cino/Ugo from the Tom Tom opening.

Guess you could be right with Mirco, though I haven't taken a look at him myself.  I'd probably still imagine Bombay as being the one on the cover whenever I'm working in generic terms, but given that Blinx is on the cover instead of some random sweeper, it wouldn't be surprising for it not to be Bombay.  I just want some kind of idea of how to visualize these guys other than their voices.

Time Sweepers taller than 1 m seem abnormal, but Jimmy seems to be exception to this. His legs make him appear to be pretty tall.

The size of both the Time Factory and the Tom Tom base are almost ridiculous. From our perspective it looks alright but from a time sweeper or tom toms perspective they're the same height as them. The height between the higher ledge and the reflective floor in the TF is the same height as Kit, taller than regular time sweepers. Fences and the entrance doors are way too tall. The cutscenes make they look alright though.

The pig on the front cover is still Bombay for me, but I can't help but think of them as Mirco now, for whatever reason they're there.

On an unrelated note, why do you think time sweepers blink twice at a time?

The sweepers seem to have pretty distinct proportions from everyone else.  Catherine, Jimmy, and everyone in the control room seem pretty tall and thin compared to them (check the prize where the CEO's berating Blinx as a Tom Tom decoy walks by for a good comparison), which brings up some strange questions if you take it seriously.  Not sure I'll go down that road.  Don't have any parallel to make with the Tom Toms, though.  I do agree that the warp room in the Time Factory is rather odd in its height difference, but it has stairs, so I doubt sweepers are really expected to just drop down and jump back up unless they're in training (which I guess we don't have to assume normally takes place in a warp room - the Time Factory had sustained pretty serious damage, so maybe they had to relocate, though that makes all the training exercises in the opening tutorials kind of suspect).

Okay, as for the blinking thing, something popped into my mind as I was going about my day and I had to write it down for later (that being now).  I'm very seriously considering that it was just a pun by the devs: two blinks, AKA BLiNX 2.  As for an in-universe explanation, I haven't really come up with anything, unfortunately.  Not that we get to compare it to anyone else, damned Tom Toms.  I can't think of any reason for doing it that blinking more often in general wouldn't already solve.  It's a detail I want to remember, though.

I would be surprised if it didn't. :V The measurements are so damn inconsistent.
